On a beautiful sunny Sunday morning, we welcomed just shy of 70 riders to our first event at Plas Onn Farm. With some familiar sections and others which were completely new, there was something for riders of all levels and it was a pleasure to welcome familiar faces and some complete newbies to the sport too.

The Pre 65 Clubman class had some particularly tough competition with 4 riders vying for 2nd place all on just 2 points! Perhaps some of you at the top end of that class might like to dip your toe into the Intermediate route next time!

We are very grateful to the landowners Barry and Sarah for providing the venue, Chris de Burger for coming along with his burgers and bacon butties which were appreciated by all, Nick and Liam who’ve taken thousands of photos (see the bottom of this page for their albums), and of course our fantastic observers without whom we couldn’t run the event at all.

This shouldn’t need to be said but observers should be treated with respect as they give up their time to enable trials events to run throughout the year come rain or shine. While they can point out the route if asked, it’s up to riders to ensure they are happy with where they’re riding before entering any section. Observers’ scores are taken as final. Any queries with scoring should be raised with the club directly.

Our next events in June will take place on Sunday 8th June (Sorra Championship Round 3) and Sunday 29th June (NWCT Round 2) – for full details see the events page.
